East Fife's Ryan Blackadder netted a double to help demolish East Sirlingshire, with the Fifers coasting six points clear at the top of the division three table.

The outstanding midfielder almost gave the Fifers the lead after just 13 minutes, but his swerving free-kick bounced back off the post.

Shire's Marc McKenzie, a hat-trick hero last Saturday, then thumped in an effort from 20 yards which John Dodds grasped at the second attempt.

Blackadder got his reward after 20 minutes when he controlled the ball on the edge of the box, jinked inside and drove a deflected shot into the net.

He then scored a glorious goal 13 minutes later, when he spun away from two challenges and curved the ball beyond Anton Nugent.

East Stirling should have scored when Derek Ure opened up the Fifers defence, but Paul Tweedie hammered the ball off the keeper's legs.

The Fifers were ripping Shire apart and Blackadder's clever backheel allowed Neil Jablonski to net on the hour mark.

Sub John Martin outpaced Stephen Oates three minutes from time to roll in the fourth goal and with just one minute left, he turned provider to give Jablonski an easy tap-in.
