Wallace settles seven-goal thriller

Ryan Wallace struck seven minutes from time to give East Fife a thrilling 4-3 victory over Forfar.

John Ovenstone put the hosts in front after 15 minutes with a header from close range but Kevin Byers levelled for the visitors four minutes later with a header of his own.

David Muir restored the home side's lead after 32 minutes with a right-foot finish from just outside the penalty area, but Ovenstone put through his own goal eight minutes later.

Robert Ogleby ensured the home side were back in front just before the break when he converted Wallace's cross from 12 yards out.

But Forfar were back on level terms eight minutes into the second half when Joe Shaughnessy nodded in Nicky Low's corner.

The game swayed back in favour of the Fifers when the visitors had Adam McHugh sent off for a professional foul on Ogleby 15 minutes from time.

And McHugh's dismissal proved to be costly when Ogleby set up Wallace, who fired home from 12 yards with a neat right-foot finish.
