Fifers end travel sickness

East Fife picked up their first away win of the season in the Division Two with a 2-0 win over Brechin.

Fife were ahead after just 27 seconds when a left-footed strike from Robert Linn found its way into the bottom corner.

They continued to press forward, with shots from Matthew Park and Robert Ogleby testing Craig Nelson in the Brechin goal.

Ogleby then beat Nelson after 22 minutes when he slotted home from 12 yards to double Fife's lead.

After half-time, Brechin created their best chance of the game when James Lister's 48th-minute shot was saved by Mark Ridgers.

Michael Dunlop also went close for Brechin after 77 minutes but saw his shot go over the bar, allowing Fife to keep their first clean sheet for 11 games.
