East Fife V Stranraer at Bayview Stadium - Match Preview

Brown has full squad

East Fife manager Billy Brown has a full squad to choose from as his side entertain Stranraer in a game that the New Bayview men cannot afford to lose in their battle against the drop.

Brown said: "We have played Stranraer twice during my time in charge. In the first one we were very good indeed but came out of a game we dominated with a 1-0 defeat.

"The next game was different as they won well at their place, but we can win this if we play like we did in that first meeting and have a bit of better good fortune in front of goal.

"We are still struggling in defence but I am confident that we can still climb the table."

Stranraer are waiting on the fitness of attacking midfielder Sean Winter.

The former Arthurlie juniors player is struggling with a thigh problem and if he misses out he will join defender David MacGregor on the sidelines as the former Morton man is still struggling with a knee injury.

Blues boss Stephen Aitken believes that this game could be pivotal in his side's season.

He said: "We had been in the bottom two places for most of the season before recently climbing up to eighth. If we win this we are in eighth place, eight points clear with five games to go and that would be a great position to be in."
