East Fife V Arbroath at Bayview Stadium - Match Preview

Naysmith set for Fifers bow

East Fife will give former Scotland defender Gary Naysmith a debut against Arbroath following the agreement of a six-month deal this week.

Striker Christian Nade remains out with a knee injury as the Fifers look for a first win under new boss Willie Aitchison.

The New Bayview manager said: "Gary will bring great experience to our team and we are all looking forward to seeing him in action.

"We have been sloppy defensively so far but hopefully we can cut that out of our game. We have been playing well but giving away goals, however we are really focused on getting something from the Arbroath game."

Arbroath miss three at New Bayview as a broken foot keeps Ricky Little out, Alex Keddie's back injury sees him sidelined and Connor Birse is still short of match practice after an injury he sustained in pre-season.

The Red Lichties could also be without striker Graham Bayne with player/manager Paul Sheerin giving him only a 50/50 chance of featuring.

Sheerin said: "Everyone got a great lift from our performance when we beat Dunfermline 3-2 last Saturday. We now need to build on that by winning at East Fife.

"It is disappointing to be going into it with injuries but we just have to get on with things."
