EAST FIFE STILL NOT FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS

A 3-0 win against East of Scotland side Whitehill Welfare seems comfortable enough, but far from it.

The visitors looked more up-for-it in the 1st half and had East Fife on the back foot for most of the opening period. Hitting the bar twice before East Fife found their feet.

Close to half time a Stevie Nicholas goal settled the nerves. Into the second and the home side began to play better and a double from Johnny Mitchell secured the win.

So, East Fife through to Round 2 and a trip to Peterhead or Huntly but to progress into the next Round 3 a vast improvement is still needed.
