Aberdeen v East Fife

East Fife have received clearance to include former Livingston and Arbroath striker Steven Weir.

Weir could start as Hibernian have recalled Kurtis Byrne and Stewart Murdoch has returned to Falkirk.

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown:"Aberdeen can only lose here. If you win, that's considered to be routine.

"But that's the danger - that a routine victory is expected.

"If that gets into the players' heads it could have a negative transfer to their performance.

"Our job is to ensure that there's no question of the players thinking this is routine.

"It will be a fiercely contested game - I'm sure of that. Fifers don't come up here and lie down."

East Fife manager John Robertson: "We are coming out of cold storage to play one of the biggest names in Scottish football so we have to be ready from the first whistle.

"It is a really tough tie but I want the players to go out and do themselves justice and go and look to win the game. Who knows we may just cause a shock."
